Features and Functions:

USING YOUR 160W FOLDING SOLAR PANEL:

The Adventure Kings 160W folding solar panel will perform at its peak when the solar panel face/monocrystalline cells are angled directly towards the sun. Set the legs to your desired position:(below)

TWO STEPS FOR USING THIS ADJUSTABLE SUPPORT LEG

    l   When the locking handle is at 90 degrees a right angle. The support legs are loose and the angle of the solar panel can be adjusted.

l   When the locking handle is in the down (45 degree) position, the support legs are locked and cannot move or shake at all.

CONNECTING YOUR SOLAR PANEL

l   Now that the panel is setup facing directly towards the sun. Proceed to connect the positive and negative clamps to your battery.

l   DO NOT connect the solar panel straight to the battery or it will damage the Solar controller.

l   Always connect the battery clamps to the battery first, then plug the solar panel Anderson plug into the battery cables Anderson plug. Your regulator will then light up to show that it is working.

DISCONNECTING AND STORING YOUR SOLAR PANEL

l   Disconnect the Anderson plug off the battery clips first and then proceed to take the battery clips off the battery.

l   Roll the extension lead up neatly into the storage clips behind the Solar panel. NOTE: MAKE SURE NOT TO TWIST OR KINK THE WIRING IN AN UNNATURAL WAY.

l   NEVER STORE YOUR SOLAR PANEL WITH THE BATTERY LEADS CONNECTED TO THE PANEL.

l   PLACE THE BATTERY LEADS SEPERATELY IN THE FRONT POCKET OF THE CARRY BAG.

TIP:

For optimal performance through-out the day, set the panel to approximately 30° from the ground. Anywhere between 10° and 40° will gain the best power absorption across the course of the day.
